This episode starts out with Aang waking up and stumbling to the deck of a fire nation ship were he sees Katara, Sokka,Toph
and others; and he has hair. Then it shows Zuko aboard a ship headed home, after he assisted Azula in the episode "Crossroads
of my Destiny", he is allowed to go home because he has regained his honor. Zuko says he hasen't been home for three years
and he wonders how much has changed and how much he has changed, he is talking to Mai.
Then we return to Aang whom is
taliking to Katara, he is wondering why they are on a fire naton and how long he was out. Katara replies that he was out for
a few weeks. Then Katara's father shows up who is also on the ship asking if everything is ok, Katara replies yes dad in a
smurkish manner. Hokoda introduces himself to Aang, and then after he leaves Katara asks if she is mad at her dad, she replies
no even though she seems to be. Aang then grunts like he is in pain and Katara tells him that they need to go upstairs for
a healing session.
While Katara is healing him he has a vision of his defeat at Ba Sing Sei, and he relizes that he wasen't
just hurt, but he was gone. Then Katara says she used her special water from the north pole to heal him and bring him back
to life.
We then return to the fire nation were Azula and Zuko have returned. Two old women are announcing the arrival
back and win at Ba Sing Sei to the rest of the fire nation, saying that after they battled the avatar, Azulas agents took
down the wall and fire nation troops surged in quickly taking over the city. They then announce Azula and then the wemon announce
"after three long years your prince has returned, prince Zuko" everyone cheers as Zuko has a sad look on his face.
We then
return to Aang and the rest were Sokka is telling what they did after what happened n Ba Sing Sei. He says they flew back
to chameleon bay where Hakoda and the other water tribe men were. Soon the bay was overun with fire nation ships so rather
than fight them all they captured a single ship and made it their desquise and they have been traveling in it, but no other
fire nation ships have bothered them. Then Aang asks so what happens now, and Hakoda replies talikng about the invasion plan
during the eclispe. Then Sokka says that they have a secret weapon he says that it is Aang because everyone in the world thinks
that he is dead and Aang seems to be very shocked. Sokka says that it is great because they wont be hunted anymore and will
be able to suprise the fire lord.
Then suddenly another fire nation ship approaches them, they must stop, people from the
other ship come aboard asking why they are headed the way they are and that all ships are to be headed towards Ba Sing Sei,
Hakoda replies that they are from another fleet. The fire nation troop knows something is up and they believe it is a captured
ship and that once they get aboard their ship they will sink the other ship. Luckily Toph hears and attacks, as does Katara,
and they head off quickly.
We then turn to Zuko talking to Azula saying that he hasent seen father yet and that it has
been three years. Azula says that everything will be ok, Zuko turns his face as in doubt, and Azula says unless the Avatar
is alive. Zuko then remembers Kataras spirit water, but he says no anyway. Then we back to Aang and everyone else on the ship
which is being chased by the actual fire nation ship which is throwing fire at them, Aang is hiding because Katara and Sokka
dont want the fire nation to know that he is alive. Toph is fighting back by throwing large rocks at the other ship.
Katara
then uses waterbending to give them a fog cover. Then once the fog cover disapperars the serpent from the episode "The Serpents
Path" reappears and encircles itself around the fire nation ship. The ship then moves freely and stops at a town, Toph Katara
and Sokka come into the room and tell Aang that they are going into a town to get food. This town is fire nation so Sokka
tries to get Aang to put a sash over his forehead to cover the arrow. Aang says he will not go if he caint show his arrow
proudly.Katara tells the others to go ahead so she can talk to Aang.
Katara tells Aang she knows the reason why he dosen't
want people to know that he is a secret. She says he dosent want people to think he failed, Aang replies and says that she
is right but he did fail, he says.And that he lost and the kingdom has now fallen.
Aang then says that he dosent want anyone
else to help him with the invasion to try to fix his mistakes and he tells Katara to please go. Katara leaves and asks him
if there is anything he needs he replies "I need to redeem myself and that he needs his honor back"
A little while later
Katara comes into Aangs room saying that she brought him some food but he is gone.
We then turn to Zuko were he is seeing
his father for the first time in three years. Ozai says that he has been away for a long time but he has redeemed himself
and he welcomes Zuko home. Then we see Aang flying over a vast area of water, then it changes to Katara running to her father
telling him that Aang has left. Katara then goes into a story and Hakoda knows she is also talking about him. Katara asks
why did he leave them and that they were so lost without him. Hakoda says that he is so sorry as Katara starts to cry, Katara
tells him that she understands why she left but she dosent know why she stll feels ths way.Hakoda then talks about how much
he loves Katara and Sokka.
Then we go back to Zuko and Ozai, Ozai is telling Zuko how he is proud of him how he and Azula
conquered Ba Sing Sei and how Zuko killed the Avatar (even though he really didn't and that it was Azula) and that when his
loyalty was tested he did the right thing. Then we return to Aang flying across the water, while flying he sees a ships of
the fire nation forming a blockade. He swins under the blockade to get to the other side and then uses his glider and piece
of wood to surf across the water in a storm.
Then we come to Zuko awaking Azula asking her why she told Ozai that he killed
the Avatar. She said she wanted father to be proud of him, she said in a smurkish manner. She called it a generous gesture,
Zuko knows something is wrong. Then we see Aang who is stuck in the stom with waves crashing all over. Then Roku and Yue show
up inspiring Aang and we later see aang washed ashore the crescent island were Katara, Sokka and Toph rushed up as they are
happy they found him.
