Crescent Island is home to Avatar Roku's fire Temple and the five fire sages protecting the temple. Aang visited the
temple during the solstice so that he could talk to Roku, he had a run in with the fire sages whom did not want him their,
except for one of them. Zuko and Zhao were following Aang and ended up finding him but Aang was inside a room talking to Roku
and they could not enter. The temple was destroyed by Roku through Aang that day with an erupting Volcano. The island is now
deserted as the sages were taken to jail by Zhao for unknown reasons. The temple is believed to be over 100 years old since
Roku lived over 100 years ago.
