Aang is an Airbender, whom is 12 years old and is also the
Avatar. His actual age though is 112 Aang was frozen in an iceberg for 100 years and during this time was when the fire nation
attacked. Aang was told he would be the Avatar at the age of 12, in actuality the monks at the Southern Air Temple should
not have told him of this until age 16, but they feared war; Aang accepted being the Avatar though he was not to sure.
Aang ended up and run away because the other monks at the Air
Temple wanted to seperate Aang and his guardian Monk Gyatso and send Aang to the Eastern Air Temple. This is why Aang ran
away on the back of his flying bison Appa. They got caught in a terrible storm along the way and Aang and Appa were submerged
in water, Aang acted and put an air pocket around him and Appa, this air pocket froze and became an Iceberg. Aang and Appa
remained their 100 years, in this time Aang missed the beginning of the war with the fire nation, when the world needed
him most.
100 years later brother and sister, Katara & Sokka discover
Aang frozen in an iceberg near the southern water tribe. Aang seems to be 12 years old but he soon discovers that he was trapped
in that iceberg for a 100 years and missed the beginning of a great war. Very quickly he became quick friends with Katara,
but Sokka was not so sure about him, after all everyone thought that their were no more airbenders.
Aang must travel the world and master all four elements( Water,
Earth, Fire & Air) in order to defeat Fire Lord Ozai and stop this long waged war. But unfortunatly for Aang a comet is
comming, this comet known as 'Sozin's Comet' will empower the firebenders to be even more powerful then before, so Aang is
in a race.
