Toph is an twelve year old earthbender who joined Aang, Katara, and
Sokka to teach Aang earthbending in the second season episode "The Blind Bandit". Toph is blind and uses her feet to see and
feel vibrations from the earth to tell were people are. Toph is from a very wealthy family were she kept her powerful earthbending
a secret and competed in competitions and became known as the "Blind Bandit" because she managed to win almost everytime.
Her parents did not want her to teach Aang even after they learned
she was a powerful earthbender, but she diobeyed her parents and went with Aang anyway; even though when she first met Aang
she didn't want to teach him. Toph and Katara didn't like each other at first and they fought but they eventually became friends.
Toph is very skilled at her earthbending and is also able to bend metal, which she learned to do as an escape meathod.
